As a U.S. citizen or resident you have the right to own body armor. However, that right is automatically taken away if you are convicted of a felony (please look up the law in your state for specific requirements).
You can purchase Leatherback Gear armor online and have it shipped in 49 of the 50 states. For residents of Connecticut body armor is legal to own however it may only be obtained through an in-person store purchase. Online purchases of body armor are not allowed for residents of the state.
